During Trump's State of the Union address on Desi Doctor (2024) EP 5-6 Hindi Web SeriesTuesday night, Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow was one of several legislators caught with their eyes closed, leading to suggestions that she'd fallen asleep -- much like Melania Trump's guest Joshua Trump.

The tweet, from The Atlantic's Edward-Isaac Dovere, was part of a humorous Twitter thread displaying various Democrats' facial expressions in reaction to Trump.

Except Sen. Stabenow took umbrage with the implication that she was sleeping, and she delivered a perfectly fiery reply.

Stabenow has sparred with Trump in the past, notably in the fall of 2018 over a bipartisan farm bill, a bill that Trump would eventually sign into law in December 2018.

Her reply comes in the wake of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's response to conservative commentator Peggy Noonan's critique that she looked "sullen" during the speech.

All in all, a couple of great, righteous responses to unfair criticism that pairs perfectly with Rep. Nancy Pelosi's literal clap back of Trump.
